"I didn't see this until today. I just had my Guild acoustic "set-up" over at Sam Ash the other day. Don't get me wrong, they did good work, but perhaps could have saved a little money! Anyway, good to know.

Hey Henry, good luck in NC, we'll miss you here in Sacramento.
Players in the Charlotte area take note, Henry does excellent pro work at an affordable price,. He's done a half dozen or more guitars for me in the past few years and they all play like a dream.

Took my bass to Henry a week ago, and he worked his magic on it and now it plays the best its ever have. Like all the testimonials here have stated, Henry was easy going and easy to get along with, explained what he was doing and is pricing is ridiculously fair, you will spend double at Guitar Center and not even get this quality of work. Highly recommend Henry to setup your bass! He even cleaned up the strings and body and oil'd the neck for free. All around professional job. Thanks again Henry!

Henry just "Hot Rodded" my Epiphone LP Standard. 500T at the bridge, 496R at the neck and replaced the machine heads so the dang thing wil stay in tune. I couldn't be happier. For a rocker on a budget, I now have a pro sounding guitar at more than half the price. The set up was perfect and Henry even buffed out some dings and filed down some high frets at no extra cost. Thanks again Henry.

I had herd about Henry from a guitarist friend of mine who could not stop raving about his service. I had just purchased a used Carvin Bunny Brunel bass and it was in desperate need of a setup. I called Henry to see if he could do a setup for me, though I saw he was closed, do to relocating to North Carolina (if you live there in N.C.) He had me bring it by and did a AWESOME Job with not only setting it up but the extras he did in cleaning the fret board and frets, Night and Day from what I brought him. WOW! So for those of you in N.C. and need any work done, I don't care who you have working on your equipment, Call This guy Henry Howard, hands down will be the best phone call you ever made for a setup......and then some.....
Best of luck to you Henry in N.C. it was a pleasure to meet you. I only wish it was sooner.

Amazing service and quality work at a great rate!!!! I took my Custom 5 string bass tuned a whole step down ADGCF, after he worked on it, it plays better than it ever has! I am just amazed at the quality of work! Play style, tuning, string gauge, etc. were all taken into account for the set up! He sets it up custom for you! If you take your playing serious, I would highly recommend taking your instrument to him! Thanks Henry!

Wow, Henry just did a complete set up on my 38 year old acoustic and it plays awesome! I've owned it since it was brand new and it's never been looked at by a tech. It now plays better than it's EVER played! It just puts a smile on my face every time I play it. Very reasonable price and fast service. Thanks a lot Henry!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Henry at his home shop in Folsom,ca. I have a 1985 Ibanez X Series - D555 (Phil Collen) Guitar. The bridge saddles were completely worn out. I myself R&R'd them. A friend of mine mentioned a one "Howard Henry" to setup my ax. I made an appointment and met with him, he set the bridge / intonation / action, corrected the truss rod and it is perfect for my style of playing.. He oiled the fretboard and set a couple of high fret's that were a bit buzzy cleaned & polished the guitar (including case interior)... AWESOME RESULTS !!! for $40.00... All the while talked of great musician's, music etc, etc. I strongly recommend Henry for his knowledge with stringed instruments !! And he's good dude to know... Thanks, Henry... Roger.

Hi Rob.
It's one of those that I would have to see. If that's all that's going on with it, it can be made playable and functional again easy enough. You didn't say. But I take it it's an acoustic. If so, already suspect what is causing the problems. Mainly replacing the bridge saddle. The scratchy pot can be "cleaned up" or replaced.
Give me a call if you want to bring it in and let me look at it (no charge). 916-221-1488 Henry Howard

I'm looking for an opinion on a vintage Ovation that I bought new in around 1973. The saddles have broken down over time and a couple are just being held in place by string tension. The pickup is not "picking up" the G and D strings and the volume pot is scratchy. I had another luthier tell me that this guitar was not worth fixing. I've kept it mostly for sentimental reasons. I know you'd probably have better answers after seeing the guitar in person, but would you think it worth putting any time into to make it a good player again? Other than the issues above, it still sounds pretty good, at least to me. Thanks for any feedback.
