The greatest Rock pioneers no one has heard of The Tielman Brothers (1960)

For the time, these guys were pioneers and phenomenal. The story is they were from Viet Nam and their father relocted the family to Holland before the communist conflict broke out. There, the Tielman Bros. became very popular in Holland and Germany. While touring Germany, Little Richard asked guitarist Andy Tielman to come back to the states and be in his band, Andy declined in favor of loyalty to his brothers. Once Little Richard got back he picked up Jimmy James (later to become Jimi Hendrix) as his guitarist. I would bet money that Little Richard told Jimi about Andy and his showman techniques. Which Jimi adopted. Watch the entire video to the end for a real history lesson in early Rock showmanship. Supposedly they are playing the first Gibson Les Pauls ever imported to Europe. Andy Tielman still performs.
